Susie's Scrumptious Sweets

Wedding cakes should be not only a feast for the eyes, but the mouth as well. And when Susie Stallings, award-winning cake designer and owner of Susie's Scrumptious Sweets creates your cake, your guests may come to your wedding but they'll stay for dessert  as well.

Too often you'll see a beautiful cake design but once tasted, the flavor is lacking or the consistency is dry; or it can be just the opposite. The cake's design might not be as appealing but the taste is delicious. With Susie's Scrumptious Sweets you'll get both.

In 2008, over 20,000 brides were surveyed for The Knot's  for their "Best of Weddings" issue and Susie was right at the top of Florida cake designer/bakers. Susie has also been honored with top awards from the prestigious "Boca Raton Magazine," and "Gold Coast Magazine" and was featured on a CNN newscast.

Whether you're looking for traditional cake flavors such as chocolate, vanilla or almond or the more exotic such as Grand Marnier, Linzetorte or Chocolate Chili Mousse, Susie offers thirty delectable choices. And if you want a true South Florida taste delight, you can't miss with their signature key lime cake. Heavenly.

Your choice of fillings is just as varied and the combinations available are endless.

Made to order from scratch, Susie will match a photo you have or she will help you design your cake to match your taste and style. They offer it all; from buttercream to fondant frosting, from pastillage (sugar paste) embellishments to edible flowers. If you can dream it, they can make it.

At Susie's Scrumptious Sweets, it's a family affair with husband, Wilt (The Cake Man) creating spectacular fondant canvases to feature the exquisite sugar paintings of daughter Chantelle. And once you meet them, you'll feel as if you, too, are a part of their family.

Whether your want a traditional design or something totally whimsical and original for your wedding cake, groom's cake or for any special occasion now or in your future, make Susie's Scrumptious Sweets a part of your new family tradition.

Make an appointment or stop by on Saturdays from noon until 4:30 pm for a free tasting in their Sunrise location. Give them a call at 954-748-4740 or write to them at susie@susiesscrumptioussweets.com
